Foam Fire Extinguishers

Foam fire extinguishers are given the A and B Class due to the nature of fires they should be applied to. Foam fire extinguishers have a blue band of colour. They can be used on Class A and B fires that may contain flammable liquids like petrols, oils and paints. While foam fire extinguishers are particularly good for flammable liquids, they are NOT suitable for fires that involve cooking oils.
